Jacques Hnizdovsky (1915-1985) was one of America’s foremost woodcut artists.
The prints on view dating from the 1960s through the early 1980s revealed the virtuosity and sensitivity with which Hnizdovsky captured plant and animal forms. In addition, the award-winning documentary Sheep in Wood from 1970 was featured.
