For Educators
Join us and discover how art and science shape each other, our lives, and the world.
Spark a lifelong love of learning in your students as they explore a mummified person’s tomb, encounter a 65-million-year-old Triceratops skull, and journey through the cosmos in the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium – all under one roof in downtown Baton Rouge.
There’s something for every student at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum.
Our school group experiences can be transformative for your students because programs build on one another, bridge disciplines, and create connections between objects, ideas, and experiences. Participate in hands-on classes, immerse yourselves in extraordinary stories under the planetarium dome, and discover the world through the interpretation of art and museum objects in our galleries.
We offer unique, educational, and entertaining school group programs for your Pre-School through 12th-Grade students that serve as an extension of your classroom experience and deepen your students’ understanding of STEAM- related concepts.
