On View July 4, 2014 Through September 23, 2015
Located in the Louisiana Art & Science Museum
American Brilliant cut glass is named for its unsurpassed radiance and clarity.
Debuting in 1886, American cut glass earned its title as the most superior in the world when displayed at the Centennial Exposition that year in Philadelphia. By 1925, the period of production had ended. On loan from private collections, this selection of silver-embellished American Brilliant cut glass honored the return of the American Cut Glass Association’s annual convention to Louisiana after 25 years.
