Cook Like an Egyptian
Red Stick Spice & LASM have partnered to offer Cook Like an Egyptian cooking classes, in conjunction with LASM's newest exhibition, "Discoveries on the Nile: Exploring King Tut’s Tomb and the Amin Egyptian Collection".
Cooking classes will take place at Red Stick Spice Company at 660 Jefferson Hwy. Each ticket purchase to the Eat Like an Egyptian cooking class includes a ticket to the LASM to enjoy related programming.
Join Anne Milneck from Red Stick Spice along with Louisiana Art & Science Museum in the Teaching Kitchen of Red Stick Spice for an exploration of the aromatic spices, ingredients and cooking methods that will help you master Egyptian dishes and capture the flavors of North Africa. Babaganouj with Dukkah & Pita (Eggplant Dip)
Fettah with Chicken, Chickpeas & Yogurt Sauce
Kofta with CousCous & Salata Baladi
Shorbat Adas (Lentil Soup)
Basbousa (Semolina Cake)
This class is for participants 13 and up. Teenagers must be accompanied by an adult; both the teenager and accompanying adult must purchase a class seat.
