Submit an Exhibition Proposal
The mission of the Louisiana Art & Science Museum (LASM) is to enhance the understanding and appreciation of art and science for general audiences and students by presenting unique, educational, and entertaining experiences that encourage discovery, inspire creativity, and foster the pursuit of knowledge. The Museum believes that "Art and Science shape each other, our lives, and the world." LASM welcomes exhibition proposals from artists for curatorial review and asks that you consider our mission, interpretive direction, programming, and collection to determine if the submission is appropriate to our Museum.

You may submit artwork in the form of photographs that are emailed to us at submissions@lasm.org as .jpg files, mailed to us on a CD or DVD, or stored at a URL address (preferably Dropbox or Google Drive) where we can view the work online.

Additional Information
We review exhibition proposals on an annual basis and the process may take several months. Please do not mail any material that you will need to be returned. It may not be possible to reply to every submission. The Louisiana Art & Science Museum cannot be held responsible for submitted material.
While we are happy to review submissions, doing so does not constitute a promise to exhibit your work. Since the Museum’s exhibition schedule is carefully planned approximately two to three years in advance in order to present our viewers with a varied artistic program, we are rarely able to accommodate unsolicited submissions for exhibitions.
We cannot make studio visits, see the work in person, or engage artists to discuss their work in our offices during the initial phase of the review. If there is sufficient interest from a curator, the Museum will contact you about any further steps.
The Louisiana Art & Science Museum will not accept a proposal for work that has already been shown within 80 miles of Baton Rouge during a period of 18 months preceding the opening date or will be shown within 80 miles of Baton Rouge within six months after its closing at the Museum.
