Weighted Lap Blankets & Compression Vests

Weighted Compression Vests provide steady proprioceptive input and deep pressure around the chest, which is calming for sensory-sensitive individuals.

Weighted Lap Blankets can help reduce anxiety, stress, and impulsive behavior and increase the ability to sit and concentrate on tasks.

Quiet Areas

Quiet Areas provide a calm, low-stimulation space for decompression breaks. The Adalie Brent Auditorium provides gentle films during Second Sensory Sunday hours and the area in front of the North-End Elevator has seating away from crowds to ground back into bodily regulation.

Sensory Pea Pods are available in Quiet Areas to apply deep, even pressure to help with self-regulating. The velvety surface of the sensory pea pod is made with comfortable flocked vinyl and provides a gentle squeeze. Some sensory children like to gently rock side-to-side for a cocooning-calm.
