This display selected from the Louisiana Art & Science Collection honored one of the oldest crafts in history, Native American basket weaving.
On display were a number of baskets by a variety of tribes, including Chitimacha double-weave river cane baskets, Choctaw coiled pine needle baskets, and Cousatta effigy baskets.
