The Louisiana Art & Science Museum (LASM) will host its annual Dino Day on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 10 AM. The museum will offer dinosaur and geology-themed hands-on activities from 10 AM to 2 PM and feature immersive, dinosaur-themed shows in the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium until 5 PM.

Along with related hands-on activities in collaboration with various community partners and fulldome shows in the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium, visitors will have the opportunity to engage with Paleontologist Mason Kirkland alongside LASM’s authentic Triceratops skull, “Jason.”

Generously on loan to LASM by Raising Cane's and the Todd Graves Family, the 66-million-year-old fossil has inspired hundreds of thousands of the museum's visitors through school field trips, events, and tours since he arrived in 2016.

BASF's Kids' Lab chemistry workshops will also be offered at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM for children ages 6-12 and their accompanying adults, and BASF’s Pop-up Science will present STEAM-related engagement from 10 AM to 5 PM for visitors of all ages.

General museum admission includes all Irene W. Pennington Planetarium shows, hands-on activities, and BASF’s Kids’ Labs. Admission to Dino Day is also free for LASM members.
