LASM also holds one of the largest collections in the United States of sculptures and drawings by Croatian artist Ivan Meštrović.
American artists of note include Charles Burchfield, Asher B. Durand, Adolph Dehn, John Marin, and Reginald Marsh. Among the contemporary holdings by distinguished American artists are works by Dale Chihuly, Rob Erdel, and Hunt Slonem.
