Solar System Gallery

In this exhibit-packed gallery, students can learn how much they weigh on the moon and planets, marvel at the 40-foot ceiling orrery and the 28-foot-long photographic image of our Milky Way, and much more! The Milky Way exhibit includes an interactive kiosk where students locate and learn about objects within the Milky Way. The New NASA Image Wall is a mosaic of stunning photos of deep-space nebulae, galaxies, and the planets and moons of our solar system taken by NASA’s space telescopes. A large monitor which continuously streams newly released NASA images will make your visit to this exhibit different every time. The nearby two-story Planet Tower illustrates the comparative sizes of the planets with large, colorful, three-dimensional re-creations.
